Divorce, is it ever ok?

Let's be honest with each other, we either know someone who has been divorced, know of someone or you have been divorced. Maybe you've just considered divorce, but you're not sure if it's the Godly thing to do.
In Genesis 2:24 it says, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.", this meaning that once you are married, in God's eyes and it should be in yours too, you and your spouse are one, you are no longer seen as separate but as one person come together before God.

You say, well my husband is lazy or won't work or just gets on your last nerve, sorry but that is no cause for divorce. You as his wife have duties, such as, working in home, not out in the work field, Titus 2:3-5. Your job, as his wife, is to keep your home clean, take care of your children, and make it a little easier on your husband. Do it with a joyful heart and don't look for praise, if you look for praise or expect a compliment, you're going to be shattered when all he does is walk in eat, shower and go to bed. Do not do the work for you, do it for the Lord and his glory. Colossians 3:23 "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;"
God does not condone divorce, the ONLY time He says it's ok, is when there is adultery going on, Matthew 19:9 is a good scripture to go to for this, "And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery." So God is saying that if you divorce your spouse, unless it's because they are cheating, and then you go on to date/court/marry someone else you, are committing adultery, and if your spouse gets remarried they too are committing adultery.
Even if your spouse is cheating, God still doesn't like when you divorce, in your marriage vows there should have been something saying "until death do us part" God takes that very literal and so should you.
The only time it is ok to remarry, is if you are a widow, not a divorcee, Romans 7:2 "For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband." 1 Corinthians 7:10 "And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:"
All of this goes to men as well! It's not just a woman's deal, it's everyone. So even if he gets on your last nerve and she bites your head off because she's having a bad day, there's no reason other than adultery, physical, spiritual, mental, etc. to get a divorce... I talked about a woman's roles as a wife here are the men's as well, because let's face it, they have some too, but ladies you HAVE to remember that you CAN NOT make him do anything and if he doesn't do it, then HE will have to answer to God, not you, you do what you're supposed to, and  God will bless you!
They are to love us, Colossians 3:19, a bishop 1 Timothy 3:2, in Ephesians 5:23 it mentions the husband being head of the household, that means being the spiritual leader, men have so much more on their plates than we do, they are to lead their family DAILY towards God, make sure that he's working and providing the money and supplies his family needs in order to survive, still come home to his wife and children, if they have any, and so much more.
Ladies, let's reverence our husbands instead of brining them down, God says it's better to be away from a nagging woman than to be in the same home as her, Proverbs 21:9 "It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house."
Nagging will get you nowhere, all it will do is push your husband away from you, reverencing and loving him and encouragement will draw him near to you!
I hope you take this to heart and there's always a way to work out your marriage if you are struggling, cry out to God, PRAY, and stay on your face and God will show you the way to work it out, and believe me, the answer will NEVER be divorce!
